MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Oct, 2018 ) :The Punjab government in collaboration with the UNICEF and WHO arranged a seminar on complications of measle.
The speakers, including Professor Dr Imran, Dr Saeed Akhtar and others stated that the government was launching an anti-measle campaign in which kids from six months to seven-year-old would be provided vaccination against measle.
They informed that Rs5 billions had been earmarked for vaccination to 19.98 million kids. For this purpose, 12,000 teams had been made and the vaccine have been provided to 4,000 hospitals, rural health centres and basic health units.
The experts stated that measle spread through a virus and only vaccine could help avoid attack of the disease.
High fever, red spots on skin, cough, pneumonia, andblurry vision were common symptoms of measle, they added.
