Commissioner Multan Inaugurates Anti-polio Drive

Commissioner Multan division Imran Sikandar and Deputy Commissioner Mudassir Riaz inaugurated the three-day anti-polio drive by administering drops to kids here at Shehbaz Sharif hospital.
He said polio vaccine drops would be administered to over eight lakh kids during the three-day campaign, which would start from Dec 10.
The commissioner ordered for lodging cases against parents who would refuse to get their kids administered anti-polio drops.
Chief Executive Officer Health Dr Munawwar said that camps would be set up at hospitals, bus stands, railway stations and other public places. He said that special control room had been established to monitor polio teams.
The commissioner and deputy commissioner also inaugurated the latest laser therapy unit at Shehbaz Sharif Hospital. Certificates and cash prizes were distributed among the staff over their excellent performance.
