Deputy Commissioner Larkana Visits Villages To Monitor Anti-polio Drive

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Larkana, Muhammad Noman Siddique Tuesday visited various villages of Larkana, Dokri and Bakrani Taluka to monitor the four-day anti-polio campaign.
He was along with Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Larkana and District Health Officer Larkana.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was briefed that the officials of the Health Department with the assistance of World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) have set up 895 teams.
These teams visited door-to-door, under the campaign started on Monday, to administrate anti-polio drops to 0-5 years children in Larkana district.
The DC Larkana urged parents, teachers, representative of NGOs and the members of community to come forward and play their role to the success of the anti-polio campaign.
He said to monitor the Anti Polio Campaign at district and taluka level, control rooms have already been set up.
The DC also visited various bus-stops and witnessed that the children in buses are also being administered anti-polio drops.
