The Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Abrar Ahmed Jaffari has underlined the need to donate blood to save precious lives as it is a noble cause and a 'sadqa' of ones life.
NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Sep, 2018 ) :The Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Abrar Ahmed Jaffari has underlined the need to donate blood to save precious lives as it is a noble cause and a 'sadqa' of ones life.
He said this while talking to media during a visit to Thallassemia Centre and Blood Bank here on Monday. He appealed to the donors to generously donate healthy blood for the protection of lives of children suffering from this deadly blood disorder. DC said that there is no alternate of human blood only human can help other fellow humans by donating ones blood in case of need.
The donation of blood is Sadqa of life that could save a precious human life, this was stated by Deputy Commissioner Abrar Ahmed Jaffar during visit of Thallasemia Center and Blood Bank on Monday.
He appealed donors to generously donate healthy blood for the protection of lives of children involved in Thallasemia. He said that there is no alternative to human blood and only human could be helpful to other human in case of its need.
Briefing the occasion, Thallassemia Center in-charge Dr. Ghulam Nabi Channa said that 1700 children are registered with this centre as Thallasemia patients who belonged to Naushehro Feroze, Sanghar and adjacent areas out of which 70 to 100 children are being infused with fresh blood.
He disclosed that Thallasemia major is a dangerous disease and it require change of blood every month side by side with required medicines. He said that if blood is not provided in time or proper treatment is not provided then child could not survive.
He stressed that creating awareness against this disastrous disease among general public is need of hour. He said that Thallasemia test of both male and female is necessary before marriage is the only preventive measure.
Dr. Channa said that children registered with center get facilities of free tests, medicines, food and others.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner inquired about the health of the registered children. He also visited the Benazir Girls Public School, checked the attendance of teachers and girl students and collected information about educational facilities available.
He appreciated the educational capability and availability of educational facilities at the institution and said that government educational institutions shall work with same dedication to provide better education to children.
Ameer Bux Bhatti Principal Benazir Girls Public school was also present on the occasion.
