District Government Peshawar Launches Anti-dengue Drive

District Government Peshawar has launched an awareness campaign against dengue throughout the district that contain outbreak of the disease this summer that affected thousands of people last year.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2018 ) :District Government Peshawar has launched an awareness campaign against dengue throughout the district that contain outbreak of the disease this summer that affected thousands of people last year.

According to private news channel shopkeepers, teachers, parents and elders were sensitized about precautionary measures and shopkeepers dealing in tyres were asked to wash away standing water inside their shops and tyres.

The drive would also be launched in schools to sensitise children. Additional Assistant Commissioner Peshawar Qaiser Khan visited shops on Circular Road, Yakatoot, University Road and distributed awareness pamphlets among shopkeepers and masses. He also warned the shopkeepers of strict action if dengue larva was detected in their surroundings.
