Health Services FATA Arranges Eye Camps In Khyber And Mohmand Agencies

The Eye Care Services Programme has organized free eye camps in different areas of Khyber and Mohmand agencies during the month of February to provide best possible eye care services to poor people of the neglected areas
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2018 ) :The Eye Care Services Programme has organized free eye camps in different areas of Khyber and Mohmand agencies during the month of February to provide best possible eye care services to poor people of the neglected areas.
The camps were organized in Pindi Lalma of Jamrud tehsil, Civil Hospital Jamrud, Dogdara Hospital of Bara tehsil and Yakka Ghund and AHQ Hospital Ghalanai of Mohmand Agency under the supervision of Director Health Services FATA, said a press release.
The aim was to provide quality eye health services to patients having eye problems at their doorstep.
Expert doctors, ophthalmic technicians and supporting staff participated in these camps. A total of 1,170 patients suffering from various ophthalmological diseases were examined in these camps while 49 contract surgeries were also referred to concerned hospitals.
A total of 354 reading glasses were also provided to the patients. The elders of far flung areas have hailed Director Health Services FATA, Dr Jawad Khan for arranging such quality health facilities for the tribal people and hoped that such camps would also be arranged in future.
