HMIS System To Be Operationalized In MTI KTH From January 1st

The implementation of Health Management Information System (HMIS) was an initiative taken by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government as a step towards betterment of health care in public hospitals.
MTIs were especially given the opportunity to adopt the state of the art computerized system, being operated in the Shakaut Khanum Memorial Hospital (SKMH). The SKMH HMIS is a full fledge computerized software that has elaborated fields for all departments in hospital, said the press release issued here on Tuesday.
The complete HMIS has several modules the duty roaster and leave management is a module of HMIS that falls in the category of HR but has to be handled by individual departments.
The department head will update the duty roasters and will update leave details in the software for an updated record of all employees.
A training on duty roaster and leave management on HMIS was arranged for the departments of cardiology, pulmonology, dermatology, pediatric, anesthesia, nephrology, pharmacy, maintenance dept, OT dept, clinical technologists and chief clinical technologist.
The master trainer of the training was Sajjad from Shakaut Khanum Memorial Hospital.
After the implementation of MTI Act2015 and SKMH software Radio Frequency Identity Cards (RFID) enrollment has started, registration in the software and biometric is done.
Human resource and IT department of MTI KTH, KMC, KCD has completed employees registration to monitor the presence of employees and keeping a record of their duty timings biometric.
Training for duty roaster and leave management on HMIS has started and it will be completed in different phases.
All the clinical and management departments will be trained on the system as the system will be fully functional and connected to be the payroll from January 1, 2019 and trainings has been started in this regard from December 11 till 30 December 2018.
