IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Visits Police Services General Hospital, Administers Polio Drops To Children

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Salahuddin Khan Mehsood Tuesday visited Police Services and General Hospital Peshawar where he administered polio drops to children below 5 years age in connection with the 3-day ongoing campaign across the province.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Nov, 2018 ) :The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Salahuddin Khan Mehsood Tuesday visited Police Services and General Hospital Peshawar where he administered polio drops to children below 5 years age in connection with the 3-day ongoing campaign across the province.

The parents of the children expressed satisfaction by finding IGP among themselves, says a press release issued here by Central Police Office.

The IGP on this occasion also inaugurated the newly constructed Dental block in the hospital by cutting the tap.

The IGP also went to different wards of the hospital and issued necessary instructions to the staff for more better health facilities in the hospital.

The IGP also attended a briefing in which Medical Superintendent (MS) of the hospital briefed the IGP about the treatment being provided to the patients.

The MS further informed the IGP that telemedicine programme has been introduced for the patients of far flung and backward areas of the province where specialized doctors and latest medical facilities were not available.

Under this new programmes the IGP was told, that the patients who could not come to the hospital were being checked and diagnosed through satellite by doctors from the police hospital Peshawar.

The IGP was also informed about the future plan of the hospital in connection with better health facilities.

CCPO Peshawar and SSP Peshawar also accompanied the IGP on this occasion.
