Meeting Regarding New Health Policy Held

A high level meeting of the Medical Superintendents of various hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held on Thursday regarding the instructions of the health minister and the new health policy, aiming to improve the activities in all hospitals
The meeting was chaired by Director General Health Services Dr. Arshid Ahmed Khan and was attended by MSs from all the province, management staff of DG Health Services and other.
The meeting reviewed the existence and short fall of human resources, medicines and equipments in each and every health Institute of the province here on Thursday.
On this occasion, the situation in each Hospital, regarding the strength of the medical staff and shortfalls, the availability and deficiency of medicines and other equipments was reviewed and a comparative statements was prepared, to be submitted to the government for planning to overcome the deficiencies in human resources, medicines and equipment etc.
The meeting was also informed that soon all the vacant posts of medical officers and specialists would be filled as data of all the doctors available with the departments had been compiled far filling all vacant posts in the Primary and secondary health institutes as part of a comprehensive strategy, evolved by the health minister.
The meeting also discussed in details the new health policy and its strategy for implementation with the aim to make the health facilities available to the masses and the message of the health minister was also conveyed that said "the first priority of the doctors and other staff of the hospitals rather health department, is to provide the best health facilities to the needy patients of the province at any cost".
The MSs were instructed to manage local resources for overcoming small issues and problemsand struggle for smooth functioning of the government health institutes by utilizingthe available resources with multiple purposes.
