Negligence Not To Be Tolerated In Anti-polio Dirve: Minister

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has ordered for taking strict action against the officers concerned for showing negligence during the forthcoming polio campaign
She said that 42,307 mobile teams were taking part in the upcoming polio campaign, which will start from April 22 and continue till 25.
She was presiding over a meeting at Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department. Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Saleh Saeed and EDO Lahore Agha Toheed as well as other officers concerned were also present.
A comprehensive awareness campaign had already started throughout Punjab including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad. Strict instructions have been issued that no child under five years of age should be left without administering polio vaccine during this campaign.
She said that complete training of vaccinators would be conducted before starting the polio campaign.
