Over 0.35 Million Children To Be Immunized Against Polio:Additional Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad

Additional Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Waseem Hamid Thursday said arrangements for Anti Polio campaign commencing from January 21 shall be finalized immediately
This he said while chairing a meeting held here to review arrangements of the campaign.
Stressing on the officials of health department for ensuring that no child left without polio drops he appealed to the parents of children up to age of five years to cooperate with polio teams in administering polio drops and to prevent their children from life long disability.
Briefing the meeting DHO Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Zardari said that all arrangements including micro-plan of the campaign, training of teams and other necessary arrangements were finalized for the campaign. He disclosed that the target of previous campaign was achieved due to better performance of polio teams.
He said that 3,57,332 children of up to five years age would be administered polio drops for which 873 teams were formed while 68 medical officers at Union Council level and 183 area in-charges were assigned task of supervision.
