Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) Tuesday said over 7,000 patients were brought as the panic was spread regarding polio vaccination, but most of them were completely fine and parents just brought them because of panic
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2019 ) :Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) Tuesday said over 7,000 patients were brought as the panic was spread regarding polio vaccination, but most of them were completely fine and parents just brought them because of panic.
"Only two patients are admitted in MTI KTH Children ward, one had Dysentery and other had throat infection. Not even a single child was serious," said a press release issued by the hospital.
All the faculty of Paediatric and Medicine Department MTI KTH-KMC, paediatric and medicine consultants along with nursing staff, paramedical staff and hospital management were fulfilling their duties to cope with the situation with dedication.
Hospital Director, Dr Nekdad Khan and Acting Medical Director, Associate Prof Dr Muhammad Shoaib were present in the emergency and appreciated the clinical and management teams who were working since yesterday till now.
Board of Governor Member, Dr Nadeem Alam was present in the A&E Department and looking after all the operations going on.
