Polio Campaign Inaugurated, Door-to-door Drive From December 10 In Bahawalpur

Total of 650,530 children under the age of 5 years would be administered anti-Polio drops in Bahawalpur district during Three-Day Anti-Polio campaign inaugurated on Saturday here at Civil Hospital Bahawalpur by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Shozab Saeed.
Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Bahawalpur Dr Fayyaz Anwar, Medical Superintendent Civil Hospital Bahawalpur Dr Muhammad Rashid Khan, District Polio Coordinator Dr Muhammad Zakir were also present at the occasion.
Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Bahawalpur Dr Fayyaz Anwar briefed that door-t-door campaign would start from December 10 and continue till December 12.
As many as 1400 teams of District Health Authority including 1180 mobile teams, 160 fixed teams, and 123 transit teams will perform duties in the three-day campaign.
Besides, 18 roaming teams will perform duties at main markets of the city. Total 122 Union Council Medical Officers and 278 Area In-charges would monitor the campaign.
