PPHI Provides Healthcare Through 1176 Units, Minister Told

Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho was told on Tuesday that Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiatives (PPHI) is extending healthcare facilities through 1176 health units in 22 districts across the Sindh province, except Karachi and Nawabshah.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho was told on Tuesday that Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiatives (PPHI) is extending healthcare facilities through 1176 health units in 22 districts across the Sindh province, except Karachi and Nawabshah.

This was informed to the minister at a meeting with PPHI at her office here on Tuesday, said a press release issued here.

Appreciating the performance of the PPHI, Dr. Azra Pechuho reiterated her commitment to provide better health facilities to the people of Sindh.

She expressed the hope that PPHI would continue to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of the province.

Meanwhile, a delegation of TECH4Life met the Minister for Health and Population and informed her that telemedicine clinics will be established in Mithi, Qambar shahdadkot, Dadu, Jamshoro and Khairpur Mirs soon.

Talking to the delegation, she said that Tharparkar is a drought-hit area and "we are taking all possible measures to provide better facilities in the area".

The Sindh health department in collaboration with other stakeholders is making efforts to save the life of children in Thar, she added.

Dr. Azra said that telemedicine system is an outreach program to provide health facilities to pregnant women at their doorsteps and as many as 29 dispensaries are going to be started very soon.
