Punjab Healthcare Commission Sealed 228 Quackery Outlets In Last One Week

The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC), following the orders of Supreme Courts, sealed 228 quackery outlets during the last week, while its teams visited 1,123 treatment centers.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC), following the orders of Supreme Courts, sealed 228 quackery outlets during the last week, while its teams visited 1,123 treatment centers.
According to sources, crackdown on quacks was being carried out by the PHC, along with the police and the district authorities in 21 cities including Lahore.
The teams visited 117 centres in Pakpattan, 110 in Nankana Sahib, 106 in Sargodha, 104 in Rahim Yar Khan and 101 in Jhang.
The teams closed down the 25 quackery centres in Khanewal, 24 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 23 in Rawalpindi, 22 in Rahim Yar Khan and 21 in Pakpattan.
Since the SC order in April this year, the PHC had conducted raids on 21,752 treatment centres, and closed down over 6,300 quackery outlets.
On the other hand, the district governments visited 3,159centers, and sealed 1,523 outlets.
