Russia's Health Ministry Got Documents For Registration Of COVID-19 Vaccine For Teenagers

The Russian Ministry of Health has received a set of documents from the Gamaleya research center for registration of the Gam-COVID-Vac-M coronavirus vaccine for teenagers, a decision on possible registration will be made when the documents are examined, Assistant Minister Alexey Kuznetsov told Sputnik on Thursday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd September, 2021) The Russian Ministry of Health has received a set of documents from the Gamaleya research center for registration of the Gam-COVID-Vac-M coronavirus vaccine for teenagers, a decision on possible registration will be made when the documents are examined, Assistant Minister Alexey Kuznetsov told Sputnik on Thursday.
"The Russian Ministry of Health has received a package of documents for registration of the Gam-COVID-Vac-M vaccine for preventing COVID-19 in teenagers from the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. In line with an established procedure, the documents will be sent for examination, after which a decision will be made on state registration of the vaccine," Kuznetsov said.
If the vaccine is registered, teenagers' inoculation will be "exclusively voluntary, only with consent of parents or other legal representatives," the assistant minister added.
