Target Achieved In Three-day Anti-polio Drive In GB: Director EPI

Director Expanded Programme on Immunization(EPI) Dr Shakeel Ahmed said Monday the three-day anti-polio campaign was successfully concluded by achieving 100 percent coverage despite strike by the lady health workers in the Gilgit Baltistan.

GILGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Dec, 2018 ) :Director Expanded Programme on Immunization(EPI) Dr Shakeel Ahmed said Monday the three-day anti-polio campaign was successfully concluded by achieving 100 percent coverage despite strike by the lady health workers in the Gilgit Baltistan.

Lauding cooperation of the health department and relevant officials including commissioners and deputy commissioners, the EPI director said that teams reached out to the targeted population of children aged up to five years during door-to-door campaign and administered anti-polio drops amid peaceful atmosphere.

He also appreciated parents, saying they generously cooperated and came forward to successfully achieve the target by getting their children vaccinated.
