Three-day Free Medical Camp Held In Khyber Agency

Health Directorate Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) held a three-day medical camp to provide free medical service to the people of different areas of Khyber Agency
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Feb, 2018 ) :Health Directorate Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) held a three-day medical camp to provide free medical service to the people of different areas of Khyber Agency.
A director of the directorate said that as many as 2265 patients of underprivileged and far-flung parts of the Khyber Agency including Thowda Cheena, upper barra, Bukkar Teera, Ziauddin Kalay and Mastak Teera were provided free medical service by well trained doctors, paramedical and supporting staff.
He said the free medical camp was visited by 700 male, 665 women and 900 children patients of those areas to get free medical checkup and service.
Only in Thauda Cheena area, the director added 1335 patients including 360 female, 580 male and 415 children were checkup, the official added.
He said that the government was talking all out efforts to provide all necessities of life to the tribal people and holding free medical camps to provide free of cost medical services to those poor people and prevent deadly diseases in the area.
People appreciating the initiatives by the government said such efforts should not be on adhoc basis as these camps were playing crucial role to raise awareness among masses about different diseases besides providing free medical services.
