Two Consultants, Seven Absentee Lady Doctors Suspended In Quetta

Medical Superintendent (MS) Civil hospital, Dr Mohammad Saleem Abro Wednesday suspended two consultants and seven lady doctors for being absent and showing negligence in performing their duties
Dr Mohammad Saleem Abro during a surprise visit to the Gynaecology department found two consultants Dr. Zainab, Dr. Arfa and seven lady doctors, Dr. Sadia Siddique, Dr. Tahira, Dr Sadia Ghalzai, Dr. Somia, Dr. Sahar, Dr. Shahzadi and Dr. Farzana absent from duty.
The MS, while using his administrative powers, suspended Two consultant doctors and all Seven Lady absentee doctors and instructed suspended doctors to report Secretary Health Balochistan.
The MS said that the consultants and lady medical officers were absent from their jobs for the last two days, due to which the patients were facing difficulties.
He further said that hospital administration will not tolerate any negligence regarding provision of basic health facilities to poor masses.
He said Civil Hospital is situated in the center of the city and most of the people from far flung areas of Balochistan come to this hospital for treatment, hospital administration and medical staff are equally responsible for providing basic amenities to patients in the hospital.
He also went to different wards of the hospital and inquired about the health of the patients and asked about medical assistance being provided to them.
