Two Suspected Congo Patients Die At Nishtar Hospital Multan

Two suspected Congo patients including a female died at Nishtar Hospital here on Monday, a source at the hospital said. Zar Sana (40) w/o Bismillah Khan and a resident of Wana KPK was brought to the health facility few days back and was admitted to isolation ward, the source added. She died at the hospital.
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2018 ) :Two suspected Congo patients including a female died at Nishtar Hospital here on Monday, a source at the hospital said. Zar Sana (40) w/o Bismillah Khan and a resident of Wana KPK was brought to the health facility few days back and was admitted to isolation ward, the source added.
She died at the hospital.
Another suspected patient Abdul Qayyum (50) s/o Musa Khan who belonged to DG Khan also passed away today. He was also a cardiac patient, the source said. When contacted, Nishtar Focal person for infectious diseases Dr Irfan Arshad confirmed that the both patients were suspected case of Congo.
"We had kept the patients in isolation ward. Tests of the patients were sent to National Institute of Health, Islamabad for confirmation whether they were suffering from Crimean Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF). The report is still awaited," he informed.
