US Heart Surgeons To Conduct Complex Cardiac Procedures In Russia's Voronezh

A group of US pediatric cardiology specialists from the Cardiac Alliance is planning a new trip to Russia to conduct a series of complex procedures on patients in the city of Voronezh, Cardiac Alliance leader Bill Novick told Sputnik on Thursday

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st March, 2019) A group of US pediatric cardiology specialists from the Cardiac Alliance is planning a new trip to Russia to conduct a series of complex procedures on patients in the city of Voronezh, Cardiac Alliance leader Bill Novick told Sputnik on Thursday.

"Our team is going to Voronezh from March 24 to April 7," Novick said. "Our local colleagues have 15 very complicated cases that they want to evaluate for potential operations.

"

The group is planning the trip to Voronezh, a city where it has performed procedures for several years, to take place in October.

"They asked us to continue our program for another three years, and hopefully that will happen," Novick added.

The Cardiac Alliance comprises a group of medical specialists who usually work in different "hot spots" around the world. The group has performed surgeries in several Russian cities, including in Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod and Kemerovo.
