AJK Chief Secretary Visits Under-construction Karote Hydro Power Project

AJK Chief Secretary Mian Waheed ud din Thursday visited the under construction Karote HydroPower project in Kotli district of AJK and reviewed the pace of the work progress.

Speaking on the occasion, the he expressed the hope that the project will prove to be the milestone in the measures to meet the regional and national needs of energy. He said that the completion of the project will help in to overcome the shortfall of the power besides to strengthen the national economy to considerable extent.

He further opined that the completion of various under construction hydro power projects in various parts of AJK will lead to open new vistas of speedy economic progress and prosperity of the liberated territory of Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Commissioner Mirpur division Muhammad Tayyeb Chaudhry also briefed the Chief Secretary of the pace of development works on various projects of mass public welfare in all three districts of Mirpur division including Mirpurl, Kotli and Bhimbher.

DIG Police Mirpur division Muhammad Yaseen Qureshi, SSP Kotli Raja Irfan Salim, DC Hameed Kiyani and other senior officials of various nation building institutions werealso present on this occasion.
