AJK Govt. Announced Three Days Mourning Over Death Of Begum Kusoom

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government Wednesday announced three days mourning over the sad demise of former first lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and acknowledges her struggle for the supremacy of democracy.
MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) :-Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government Wednesday announced three days mourning over the sad demise of former first lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and acknowledges her struggle for the supremacy of democracy.
The decision to this effect was taken in a cabinet meeting that expressed grief and sorrow over tragic demise of former first lady.
The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan was attended by Ministers Ch. Tariq Farooq, Raja Nisar Ahmad, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Naureen Arif, Raja Abdul Qayoom, Shukat Shah, Ch. Rikhsar, Ch. Ishaq, Iftikhar Gilani, Ch. Javed Akhtar, chief Secretary and other high officials.
During three day mourning, special prayers and Quran Khawani would be held in mosques for departed soul and tributes would be paid to Begum Kulsoom Nawaz for her remarkable struggle against the dictatorship from 1999 to 2002.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that Begum Kulsoom was a courageous and brave lady who stood against a dictator and struggled for restoration of democracy in the country.
He said her struggle would be long remembered in the political history of Pakistan.
"We pay tributes to Begum Kulsoom for her struggle and pray ALLAH Almighty to place her soul in highest ranking in the heaven," Haider added.
