AJK Legislative Assembly Lauds Pakistan Peace Overtures

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKLA) in its special session in Muzaffarabad has passed three identical resolutions appealing world bodies to take a serious notice of Indian aggression at LoC and massive human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir
MUZAFFARABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 07th March, 2019) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKLA) in its special session in Muzaffarabad has passed three identical resolutions appealing world bodies to take a serious notice of Indian aggression at LoC and massive human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.These resolutions were moved by Ministers Raja Naseer Ahmed Khan, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan and MLA Javed Iqbal.
The resolutions say that Indian troops should be held accountable for the war crimes and their powers under draconian laws be withdrawn with immediate effect.The resolutions termed Indian ceasefire line violations against the international law and a major threat to peace efforts in South Asia.The house lauded peace initiatives of Pakistan particularly release of an Indian Pilot as a peace gesture.The house demanded of India to stop torturing Kashmiri prisoners in different jails.Later the speaker adjourned the session sine a die.
