KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Feb, 2018 ) :President, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan on Monday visited Aman Foundation facilities here providing better education and health cover support to the society.
President AJK visited the Aman Tech building where he interacted with the students. He was also given a tour of the flagship life-saving Aman Ambulance and its operations, said a press release.
He expressed hope that Aman Foundation's vocational training program at Aman Tech would empower the youth of the country. He also expressed his keenness that Aman Foundation should expand its operations to AJK.
It is mentioned that till date,10,200 students had graduated from Aman Tech system with a placement rate of 69 percent. The AJK President said the purpose of vocational skills development in the youth was to provide them with access to an educational cycle that includes practical training in different trades such as automobile, mechanical or refrigeration along with life skills.
In his briefing, Chief Executive Officer of Aman Foundation, Malik Ahmad Jalal said this foundation's aim was to create systemic change and exponential social impact by catalyzing innovative and scalable solutions in health and education, transforming lives and empowering the people of Pakistan.
He showed his concern on the shortage of ambulances in Karachi. "Karachi needs more live-saving ambulances that can treat patients while taking them to the hospital. There is only one ambulance for every 340,000 people against standard of one for every 100,000 people," he added.
