AJK Prime Minister Denounces Indian Firing At LoC

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Saturday strongly denounced indiscriminate Indian firing at Line of Control (LoC) in Leepa Sector of Azad Kashmir which claimed life of an innocent citizen, besides injuring two children severely.

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Aug, 2018 ) :Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Saturday strongly denounced indiscriminate Indian firing at Line of Control (LoC) in Leepa Sector of Azad Kashmir which claimed life of an innocent citizen, besides injuring two children severely.

According to local police, the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) opened unprovoked firing on the civilian population at LoC in Leepa sector twice in 24 hours, killing a villager identified as Zulfiqar Shaikh and injuring at least two children, besides damaging the property.

Terming the Indian firing an act of open terrorism and sheer violation of LoC ceasefire violation, Raja Farooq said the Indian forces had targeted civilian population and asked the Pakistan government to take up the continued LoC violations and targeting of local inhabitants with the Indian government.

The unprovoked firing was the frustration of Indian forces in their failure to face the freedom movement of Kashmiri people, he added.

The AJK prime minister directed the local administration to provide all possible treatment to the firing victims.
