AJK Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan Monday emphasized the need of evolving unity, co-existence and sectarian harmony to defeat the anti-Pakistan elements
Addressing the death anniversary of late Major Retd. Sardar Muhammad Ayub, former AJK Legislative Assembly Speaker, in Bagh town of AJK, he said "we shall have to follow the Islamic teachings in letter and spirit and break the idols of regionalism and tribalism (bradrism)".
He said, "as true Muslims we need to take a good care of the rights of fellow Muslims side by side worshiping of Allah, The Almighty".
The AJK prime minister underlined that credit goes to Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly who made "Khatm-e-Naboowat" as part of the constitution of the state. "It is a great success for us here and hereafter," he added.
He said it was his firm belief that we could not be good Muslims until we love the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) more than our parents and children.
Paying rich tributes to late Major Ayub, the Haider recalled that the departed soul was a man of high integrity and intellect who presented the resolution of Khatm-e-Naboowat in the house which unanimously passed it.
The AJK prime minister stressed for taking full care of the due rights of minorities which were part and parcel of the majority community.
He announced to name the state-run Bagh University after Major Sardar Muhammad Ayub in acknowledgement of his meritorious services to the nation and the country. He said the required legislation would be made to this direction.
Haider continued that he learnt a lot in politics from late Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan, who also belonged to Dhirkot area of Bagh district.
The AJK prime minister reiterated his resolve to hold the civic polls at all costs adding that had there not been litigation on new emergence of Constituencies in the court of law, the local bodies elections would have been held by now.
He opined that the local bodies elections were the best sources to test the people's capabilities and eligibility.
