AJK Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan Announces To Digitalize All State Functionaries

AJK Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan Wednesday announced to digitalize all public-sector institutions in Azad Jammu Kashmir with immediate effect to ensure their swift services harmonious to the need of the modern age of information technology
" E-governance is the incumbent AJK government's vision, all institutions in the state would be digitalized under an integrated programme", Haider said while addressing to 1st conference on Digital and Progressive, jointly held under the auspices of Information Technology Board, Siemens, SAP and ABACUS at the State's Capital town.
Minister for Information Technology Board, Secretary Information Technology Board, Tourism and Information, DG IT Board head of SAP Industries Heshim Maya,senior adviser SAP Ferjeel Javed also addressed.
The Prime Minister said that it was need of the hour to shift office works from traditional scenario to digital system and for this purpose the government of AJK was acting upon for the rule of the vision of E-Governance.
While elaborating, he revealed that in the first phase, the process of computerization of different departments was underway.
He said that the State I.T board was engaged on computerization of land records, establishment of E-Facilitation Centers, computerization of driving licenses, video conference system, I.T mass literacy programme, computerization of Supreme Court, High Court,Service Tribunal, Anti corruption department and Family Health Centres, he added.
He said that all these projects would be expanded to all other AJK districts as well under the phased programme.
