ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2019 ) :Senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Anjuman Shari Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of incarcerated Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik in Indian occupied Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India was using its institutions against the Kashmiri leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik to intimidate and harass them.
He said New Delhi has filled jails in and outside the occupied territory with Hurriyat leaders and activists to crush the Kashmiris' ongoing freedom struggle the same way British were using tyranny as state policy to crush the Indian freedom struggle.
"But history bears witness to the fact that India achieved its independence despite oppression and suppression of British. The time is not far when New Delhi will accept the freedom of Kashmiri people the same way the British accepted the freedom of India," he added.
Senior APHC leader demanded immediate release of Muhammad Yasin Malik. He said that the plight of Kashmiri prisoners in Indian jails was miserable. He appealed to the world human rights organizations to take note of the inhuman treatment meted out to the Kashmiri detainees in Indian jails.
