ISLAMABAD, Apr 7 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2018 ) :Aligarh Muslim University Students Union (AMUSU) organised a peaceful protest rally against the Indian state terrorism and killing of innocent people by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a statement issued by the AMUSU said that the rally was taken out from University's Jamia Masjid to University Circle in a peaceful manner. "Students carrying placards and banners raised slogans against the presence of AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act) and use of pellet guns in Kashmir.
They also raised slogans for justice in Kashmir and justice for the pellet victims," the statement said. The AMUSU Vice President, Sajjad Subhan Rathar, addressing the protesting students criticised the government of India for oppressing the Kashmiris on daily basis.
He demanded holding of plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir and said that India should fulfill the promises made by the first Indian Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, with the Kashmiris.
The AMUSU Secretary, Muhammad Fahad, said that government of India had failed in delivering justice to people of occupied Kashmir.
He said that India always talked about bringing peace in the occupied territory but it would not come with bullets and pellets. "The present government in India is targeting Muslims everywhere and if they protest against the injustice they are labeled as anti-nationals," Fahad said, adding, "Government should first prove its own nationalism then talk about ours." "This rally wasn't possible in Kashmir because forces would have attacked us with pellets, teargas shells and bullets.
They are suppressing our voice in Kashmir. They don't give us any chance to show the world how Indian government is oppressing Kashmiris," the AMUSU Secretary said and strongly condemned the use of pellets and bullets by the Indian forces inside the educational institutions in occupied Kashmir.
