Concern Expressed Over Hurriyat Leaders' Arrest

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC), Shabbir Ahmed Dar has expressed serious concern on Friday over the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and activists.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Aug, 2018 ) :The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC), Shabbir Ahmed Dar has expressed serious concern on Friday over the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and activists.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar said that recently the Indian police had arrested Zahoor Ahmad Butt, a senior leader of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and brother of prominent martyred liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, and lodged him at some unknown place.
Describing his arrest as political victimization, Shabbir Ahmed Dar said that the family of Zahoor Ahmed Butt had given unprecedented sacrifices, adding that his four brothers including Maqbool Butt had laid down their lives for the Kashmir cause.
He also demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists including Zahoor Ahmed Butt.
