Govt. Intends To Turn The State Most Attractive Hub Of Local And Foreign Tourism, Prime Minister AJK

AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Wednesday reiterated his government's firm resolve to turn the picturesque Azad Jammu Kashmir the most attractive hub of local and foreign tourism devising integrated steps to promote tourism industry across the liberated territory including top mountainous Poonch division
The Prime Minister said that AJK government has already announced to observe 2019 as year of tourism in the state under the spirit to promote tourism in AJK where conducive environment was already available for the purpose.
He observed that Rawalakot could be developed into an international tourism center. Government would provide much better facilities at Rawalakot to attract both local and international tourists facilitating with required infrastructure in line with the needs of the modern age, he revealed.
The Prime Minister said that scenic pearl valley of Rawalakot, enriched with a lovely touristy landscapes would be made center of tourism and all basic facilities would be provided at the spot.
He said that construction of all-weathers Khaigala to Tolipeer and Tolipeer to Lasdanna highways in the district would bring about a tourism revolution in the area.
Refering to other projects in Rawalakot district and rest of the division, Farooq Haider said he had issued directives to concerned departments for provision of potable water and resolving the issue of sewerage line system in the city.
The Prime Minister also assured that construction work on the second phase of Chak hospital near Rawalakot Would soon be started.He said that about fifty percent of development budget was spent on improving infrastructure as a result roads leading to touristy regions were reconditioned.
He underscored the need of maintaining cleanliness at the popular tourists resorts like Tolipeer and Banjosa in Poonch and in Neelum Valley.
Sardar Tahir Anwar expressed profound gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of people of Poonch division for approving mega development projects like network of link roads especially Khaigala-Lasdanna expressway and construction of fully-furnished Chak hospital.
