Indian troops arrest several people in IIOJK

Indian troops arrested several people during cordon and search operations in various areas of the territory in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :Indian troops arrested several people during cordon and search operations in various areas of the territory in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), the troops during a Cordon and Search Operations (CASO) arrested several youth including a shed (Behak) owner in Kralpora area of Kupwara district. The troops claimed to have recovered three locally made Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from the seasonal shed, known locally as Behak in the area.

An Indian police officer said that Indian military, paramilitary and police personnel carried out searches in all houses of the area. He said several persons have been detained including the owner of the shed (Behak).

The troops also continued cordon and search operations in different areas of Srinagar, Ganderbal, Badgam, Baramulla, Bandipore, Islamabad, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch and Kathua districts.

On the other hand, India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) along with personnel of Indian military, paramilitary and police forces as well as intelligence agencies conducted searched in several areas of Srinagar, Islamabad, Baramulla, Kulgam, Doda and Kishtwar districts.

The NIA arrested Mohammad Shafi Wani in Srinagar and seized computers, laptops, mobile phones and other documents during the searches.

Meanwhile, Indian police arrested nine persons including two government teachers for creating law and order situation to save a rape accused in Chassana area of Reasi district from getting arrested. Police claimed when it tried to arrest the criminal Prem Singh, his associates who are all criminals attacked the police party and even fired from the weapon obtained from Village Defense Committee.

The police in this connection arrested nine criminals wanted in the case. Two accused are government teachers. The police said all the accused are history-sheeters involved in rape, theft, kidnapping, robbery and other crimes.
