MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2024) The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF-Y) has announced a global solidarity campaign to save the life of its leader, Yasin Malik, who is languishing in India's notorious Tihar Jail in New Delhi on fabricated political charges, says a JKLF (Y) message from US-based acting Chairman of the organisation Raja Muzaffar, reaching and released to the media here on Saturday.

The campaign, starting August 5, aims to mobilize international support against the Indian government's attempts to convert Malik's life imprisonment into a death penalty. JKLF-Y Acting Chairman Raja Muzaffar has appealed to the global community to stand against this injustice.

The campaign includes prayer meetings, protests, conferences, and peaceful demonstrations on August 5 and 9, marking significant milestones in Kashmir's struggle for freedom and sovereignty.

August 5 marks the 5th anniversary of India's revocation of Article 370, which eroded Kashmir's special status, while August 9 marks the Indian court hearing of the government's appeal against Malik.

JKLF-Y has invited people worldwide to join the protest movement, demanding justice for Yasin Malik, restoration of Kashmir's sovereignty, and an end to human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu Kashmir.
