Kashmiri Journalists Protest Target Killing Of Shujaat Bukhari In IHK

Ashmiri Journalists, media organizations of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and political leadership of various political parties staged a protest demonstration in front of Indian embassy in Islamabad on Wednesday against target killing of senior Kashmiri Journalist Dr. Syed Shujaat Bukhari in Indian held Kashmir.

MUZAFFARABAD, June 20(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2018 ) :Kashmiri Journalists, media organizations of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and political leadership of various political parties staged a protest demonstration in front of Indian embassy in Islamabad on Wednesday against target killing of senior Kashmiri Journalist Dr. Syed Shujaat Bukhari in Indian held Kashmir.

The rally led by President Central Press Club Muzaffarabad, Syed Ibrar Haider staged protest demonstration in front of Indian Embassy. Protestors were holding banners and placards inscribed with different slogans including the issues of gross human rights violations and innocent killing of unarmed innocent Kashmiri people by Indian occupation troops in IOK.

The speakers denouncing assassination of Kashmiri senior Journalist Shujaat Bukhari termed it sheer violation of freedom of expression.

They said Indian security forces were responsible of systematic genocide of Kashmiri people.

They asked India to stop human rights abuses in IHK and ensure security of media persons and give up its stubborn attitude. The protest also marched towards UN office in Islamabad and called upon international community to break the ice and move forward for the sake of humanity and peace in the south Asian region.
