According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Binner area of the district, yesterday.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar, paying tributes to the martyrs, said nearly a dozen budding youth were brutally killed within 72 hours and human rights champions do not even utter a word. He said under a well-planned conspiracy, lakhs of Indian forces in absence of any accountability have waged a full-fledged war against the people in the occupied territory.

He said, "The ultimate repression is being unleashed on the innocent people of Kashmir with a sole aim to break their resolve towards the movement. The people of Kashmir are associated with a great and sacred cause and that the repressive measures won't break their resolve.

The youth are our heroes and their sacrifices are part of golden history of our resistance." He said day in and day out the youth are summoned to police stations where they are put to physical and mental torture. Many are arrested and detained under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA). Everyday people, especially youth, become the target of the occupational forces anywhere in the Valley, he added.

The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in a statement in Srinagar, paying rich tributes to the martyrs said, "Our youth are sacrificing their lives for the Kashmir cause. The way youth are fighting for their birthright to self-determination is highly commendable."He said New Delhi cannot silence the voices of the Kashmiris through use of brute force and the mission of the Kashmiri martyrs would be accomplished at all costs
