The health condition of the ailing incarcerated Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has worsened as his hunger strike has entered 12th day on Monday
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2019 ) :The health condition of the ailing incarcerated Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has worsened as his hunger strike has entered 12th day on Monday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Yasin Malik was shifted from an illegal custody of India's infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RMLH) in New Delhi after his condition deteriorated, the other day. He is on hunger strike against the illegal and obnoxious attitude of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
His counsel advocate Sumeet Koul met him at RML hospital yesterday where his condition looked very critical. He has been put in a room that has no ventilation and is handcuffed even on the bed. Whole hospital has been turned into a police garrison and no one is even allowed to move towards Yasin Malik' room.
The JKLF chairman who is chronic heart patient is not taking even the life-saving medicine which is actually endangering his life. He has turned frail and is hardly able to talk.
It is worth mentioning here that Yasin Malik was arbitrarily shifted to Delhi from Kot Bhalwal jail, Jammu, where he was lodged under draconian Public Safety Act. He was remanded to NIA custody and shifted to some unknown place by NIA where he was kept in a bathroom like cell, humiliated and tortured mentally and physically as well.
Yasin Malik protested against his illegal confinement and treatment but fascist rulers and NIA callous officials in order to break his much stronger will refused to take note of his protest. He, therefore, was left with no option but to start a hunger strike against authorities and after his condition worsened NIA secretly shifted him to RML hospital.
His counsel and family were kept in complete dark and it was only after court orders to allow a meeting with his counsel that NIA was forced to reveal the truth.
In his message sent out from the hospital, Malik said that zealous lovers of freedom and liberty cannot budge before tyranny and falsehood. He said that for the righteous cause of freedom, he was ready to spend his whole life in jail, kiss gallows, endeavor torture and torment but would never surrender before the humiliating, callous, undemocratic and illegal behavior of Indian state and its oppressive organs like NIA.
Everyone knows, the JKLF chairman said, the so-called terror funding case is a concocted, arbitrary and false case that has been put forth by Indian fascist regime to defame and destroy Kashmiri resistance leadership who stood against Indian occupation, oppression and suppression.
"We are the followers of Maqbool Butt Shaheed who has taught us to endeavor hardships of jails and kiss gallows happily for the freedom of our nation," asserted ailing Yasin Malik. He said history bears witness to the fact that tyranny, false accusations and military might have never succeeded in defeating people's struggle for freedom and tactics like these employed by India will surely fail to do so in Jammu Kashmir too." JKLF chief spokesman in a statement has appealed Kashmiris living on the both sides of the divide and also across the globe to pray for the safety of Muhammad Yasin Malik.
"Our beloved leader has been incarcerated and is seriously ill at a hospital in Delhi and we all need to stand by our leader and pray for his safety and well-being, said the JKLF spokesman.
