India's National Investigation Agency, notorious for implicating Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders in fake cases, has filed a ridiculous charge-sheet against Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her two associates Sofi Fehmeeda and Naheeda Nasreen in an NIA Court in New Delhi.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Nov, 2018 ) :India's National Investigation Agency, notorious for implicating Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders in fake cases, has filed a ridiculous charge-sheet against Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her two associates Sofi Fehmeeda and Naheeda Nasreen in an NIA Court in New Delhi.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the three Kashmiri women leaders were arrested by the NIA in August 2018 and are lodged in Tihar Jail, Delhi, since then. The NIA, in total oblivion from the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir, in its press statement in New Delhi said that DeM had been inciting the general populace of Kashmir for secession of Jammu and Kashmir from India.
The charge, by experts on Kashmir dispute, is seen is ridiculous and nonsensical as overwhelming majority of the territory never considers Kashmir as part of India and they are unanimously demanding their right to self-determination as acknowledged by the United Nations in its number of resolutions passed, off and on.
The NIA in charge-sheet said, "The above accused were using various media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, tv Channels including channels in Pakistan to spread insurrectionary imputations and hateful messages and speeches against India. DeM through Aasiya Andrabi and others openly advocates secession of Jammu & Kashmir from India and its merger with Pakistan". The statement said that on 27th of April 2018, a case was registered in NIA Police Station, Delhi against Aasiya Andrabi, Sofi Fehmeeda, Naheeda Nasreen and other DeM leaders.
Interestingly, Aasiya Andrabi like other Hurriyat leaders have been openly speaking up her mind about the disputed status of Kashmir, but NIA in its charge-sheet said, "Investigation has established that Aasiya Andrabi is heading Dukhtaran-e-Millat as its chief and has used social media and other platforms to abet waging of war against India." "She is spreading seditious and insurrectionary imputations against India. She is promoting ill-will and enmity between different communities in India on ground of religion. She has used public platforms to incite youth of Kashmir to rise in armed insurrection against India with an object of achieving cessation of Kashmir from India and its merger with Pakistan," the statement claimed.
The NIA has almost leveled the same allegations against the other two party leaders Sofi Fehmeeda and Naheeda Nasreen. The agency said that Fehmeeda and Naheeda had been instrumental in use of social media and other platforms to abet waging of war against the Indian government.
"Upon investigation and collection of evidence, the above mentioned accused persons have been charge-sheeted while further investigation against other members and associates of Dukhtaran-e-Millat are under way," the statement read.
