Police Foil Teachers' Candle March In Srinagar, Arrest Many

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) :Scores of Rahbar-e-Taleem teachers held a candle-lit march at Pratap Park in Srinagar in Indian occupied Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, when the protesting teachers tried to move towards Governor House, police intercepted them near Kothibagh police station and detained many of them.
The protesting teachers were shouting slogans for the fulfillment of their demands. The protest was led by Teachers Joint Action Committee Chairman (TJAC), Abdul Qayoom Wani.
An official at Kotibagh Bagh Police station told media that they detained around two dozen teachers along with the President of Employees Joint Action Committee Abdul Qayoom Wani.
The ongoing indefinite chain hunger strike called by the TJAC entered its 14th day, today.
