Massive Protest procession observed in the capital of Azad Kashmir under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir and International Forum for Justice and Human Rights against the custodial killing of prominent Kashmiri Liberation Front leader Muhammad Ashraf Sahrai

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2021 ) :Massive Protest procession observed in the capital of Azad Kashmir under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir and International Forum for Justice and Human Rights against the custodial killing of prominent Kashmiri Liberation Front leader Muhammad Ashraf Sahrai.

Large number of people gathered at Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk and burnt tires on the main road.

While expressing their anger and mourn, people in the protest waved black flags and chanted slogans against Indian oppression.

"Sehrai! your blood will bring revolution, One slogan One Track, Go India Go Back" were among the main slogans of the protesters.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali said that India is a savage country who kills Kashmiris in jails.

He maintained that Hurriyat leader Muhammad Ashraf Sahrai was imprisoned in Indian jail where he has been assassinated.

Vice Chairman International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Mushtaq-ul-Islam said that Muhammad Ashraf Sahrai was kept away from medical treatment by the Indian government despite his serious illness.

Usman Ali Hashim paid tribute to the martyr, saying that the sacrifice of Muhammad Ashraf Sahrai and his family for the freedom movement will always be remembered. Speakers in their address stated that the savage government of India is deliberately pushing Kashmiri prisoners to their deaths.

They appealed the International human rights organizations to play their role for handing over the body of Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sahrai to his heirs for burial.

Protesters appealed the United Nations that the UN and other International human rights organizations should take notice of the murder of Muhammad Ashraf Sahrai in custody besides playing their role for the release of thousands of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in Indian jails.
