The AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has termed Hajirah by-election to AJK Legislative Assembly as moral triumph of his party.
Addressing on the eve of oath taking ceremony of Sardar Amir Altaf, the newly elected MLA and grandson of late K.B Khan on Thursday, Farooq Haider said no one can buy the loyalties of gallant people of Poonch who wholeheartedly supported the candidate of ruling party in the by-elections. People reposed their confidence in the two years' performance of PML-N government, he added.
Categorically rejecting the accusation that the government used official resources in the polls, Farooq Haider said, he would welcome if the accusers have proofs in their support on the matter. "I am ready for any consequences if a slightest government intervention is proven in the by-elections" he asserted. He asked the critics to approach the AJK election commission, if they have any solid proof against him.
He said this his ruling party AJK PML-N completely committed itself to the services of the masses, putting aside political gains and traditions. It took historic steps for supremacy of constitution and law and ensured transparency and merit. He said his party kicked off community infrastructure development programme to provide basic facilities to the people without any discrimination. People extolled my government's reforming of PAC and introduction of NTS through which all the talented young men of the state got employment opportunities, he remarked.
The AJK Premier recalled the Baloch elections in which his party returned victorious despite not being in the government. "It happened because Baloch were not happy with the policies of the then government. Political parties that have roots among the masses stand triumphant in the polls" he noted.
Haider assured special economic package and redress of other legitimate grievances of the people of Hajirah. "Late K.B. Khan was one of the most committed and popular leaders of his party. I hope his grandson would also follow his footprints, he said.

He said there is exemplary climate of brotherhood in AJK which would be maintained collectively. He said his government approved the act of "Tahafaz-e-Namoos-e-Rasalat" copies of which would be furnished to Ulema. He said it could be amended if needed in consultation with Ulema.
