Rawalakot to turn into centre of tourism: AJK Prime Minister

Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that Rawala kot would be developed as the world-fame centre of Tourism in view of its being beautiful scenic terrain.

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) ,:Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that Rawala kot would be developed as the world-fame centre of Tourism in view of its being beautiful scenic terrain.

AJK Government would provide all available resources for the beautification, construction and development of this city on latest grounds.

He was talking to chairman Pearl Development Authority (PDA) Sardar Farhad Ali who called on him at Jammu and Kashmir House late Tuesday.

While talking to chairman PDA, PM AJK said that funds are also being provided from my discretionary fund for the beautification of the city and more funds will also be provided.

"Work on developmental projects of casting 5 to 6 billion is in progress, living standard of the people will be raised by completion of these projects and they will get better facilities", he said.

He said "Rawalakot is my territory and its development is my obligation, street lights has been installed and further will also be installed.

" Haider called upon the PDA to evolve a strategy to protect the natural environment and urged to create awareness among the masses about environment protection.

He said the government is using all its available resources for the beautification of the city.

"For the provision of basic facilities, work on the projects of roads and buildings is underway. Resolving the issues of this district is my responsibility and I will do my responsibility," he said.

Meanwhile in an interview, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan called upon the United Nations to send a commission to the Occupied Kashmir for the investigation of human rights violation by the Indian forces.

He said that Indian forces was badly involved in violating the international law by targeting innocent citizens along the Line of Control.

"Unprovoked Indian firing had turned the life of civilians at LOC into hell."
