Two Youth, Scholar Martyred In Occupied Kashmir

Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two youth including a teenage boy in Kupwara district in occupied Kashmir on Tuesday.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Sep, 2018 ) :Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two youth including a teenage boy in Kupwara district in occupied Kashmir on Tuesday.
The troops killed 18-year-old, Furqan, and Liaqat Ahmed during a cordon and search operation at Guloora in Handwara area of the district. The operation was going on till reports last came in, KMS reported.
The killings triggered clashes between protesters and Indian troops in Handwara. Youth took to streets and clashed with the troops after the news about death of two youth spread in the area.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities suspended mobile internet service and ordered closure of educational institutions in parts of Handwara to prevent demonstrations against the killings.
On the other hand, Indian-army backed gunmen killed a 42-year old PhD scholar, Abdul Ahad Ganai, in Khanyar area of Srinagar. Abdul Ahad Ganai, a resident of Lolab area of Kupwara district, was pursing PhD from Aligarh Muslim University. He had come to meet his in-laws in Khanyar.
Hurriyat leaders including Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiaz Ahmed Reshi, Ghulam Nabi War and Ghulam Nabi Waseem in a joint statement paid tributes to the martyrs. The leaders also condemned life threats to religious scholar, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam.
