Reham also responded to Zara, lauding her for speaking out
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th August, 2018) The ongoing Twitter war between Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan and comedian Zaid Ali Tahir does not seem to come to a stop and the feud has taken a whole feminist turn with empowered women coming forward to defend Reham.
Following Maheen Taseer, designer Zara Shahjahan has come forward in Reham's support as she called out Zaid Ali for comparing her book to 'cheap tweets'.
"Mr @Za1d Reham has written a book about her x husband who she was extremely intimate with and shared a bedroom with. She may be wrong or right is different. You have neither been married to IK nor Reham to have an opinion on this. So don’t compare her book to your cheap tweets," she tweeted addressing the Pakistani-Canadian comedian.
Reham also responded to Zara, lauding her for speaking out, adding that male performers and businessmen are crumbling under the pressure of fascism.
"Increasingly it is becoming obvious that women in Pakistan are brave enough to say what they think is right while male performers & businessmen are crumbling under the pressure of fascism. I understand the mujbooris but am in awe of women who speak out," she said quoting her tweet.
Earlier, Maheen Taseer, the wife of Shehbaz Taseer, had jumped into the debate.
"So this guy started off as a really funny comedian. Slowly he’s becoming more of a preacher. Women shaming is not cool no matter who you are bashing. Be grateful for the wife you do have and stick to what people love you for. Your comedy," she said quoting Zaid Ali's tweets.
Maheen Taseer was then called out for supporting Reham by the PTI trolls. She, however, clarified her position and stood to her point.
Zaid Ali had last night hit back at Reham and these ladies for playing 'female card'.
"Reham khan can write an entire book insulting and degrading Imran khan.. who is our prime minister.. but when I make a tweet about it.. all of a sudden there is the female card. I guess this is gender equality," he wrote.
The Twitter war started after Pakistani-Canadian comedian and social media star Zaid Ali’s took to Twitter saying that he prays every night to never end up with an ex like Reham Khan.
Reham also had a perfect reply to this as she prayed that Zaid never gets to live with a drug abuser and a cheat.
“My sincere dua is that you never have to live with a drug abuser & a cheat. I did & covered up until I found out he was cheating those who had voted him. Pakistan comes first,” she said.
But it did not stop there, Zaid Ali had an even wacky reply to it as he said Reham accuses Imran of taking drugs but it seems like they are affecting her.
Guess the Twitter war is not going to end anytime soon. Let's see how Zaid Ali responds to these ladies now.
