The best part of Kobler’s first year in Pakistan was the hospitality of Pakistanis.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st July, 2018) German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler has certainly won over the hearts of Pakistanis with his posts expressing admiration for this country while the people here love him too.
Martin Kobler has completed one year in Pakistan and he terms it an amazing one.
Sharing a collage of his many pictures from Pakistan in a tweet last night, Kobler said that he has experienced a lot in this past one year, including amazing adventures, beautiful landscapes and delicious meals. However, the best part of Kobler’s first year in Pakistan was the hospitality of Pakistanis.
“1 amazing year in #Pakistan!! I arrived exactly one year ago and experienced a lot in this time. so many amazing adventures, beautiful landscapes and delicious meals!! but the best part of my first year in 🇵🇰? the friendly & hospitable Pakistanis!! Thank you!” the German ambassador wrote.
We also love Kobler for his simplicity and gratitude towards the people of Pakistan. These are some of the many things Kobler did that made people call him the best ambassador in Pakistan:
In his recent tweet, Martin Kobler brushed his teeth with a liquorice root (Miswak).
Martin had trouble brushing his teeth without water as he on a visit to northern areas. His problem was however soon solved when a Pakistani friend told him to use a liquorice root.
The German ambassador was glad that it actually worked for him.
Previously, he had shared about his experience of having ‘Aloo Biryani’ and Karachi student biryani.
The German ambassador was surely intrigued by the desi flavours, calling it an aromatic, flavoursome rice.
“Delicious!! Again followed your advice to try aloo biryani at famous student biryani in #karachi! What an aromatic, flavoursome rice! Their motto well deserved "WOW-WHAT A TASTE!” Kobler wrote in his tweet.
Earlier, the German Ambassador showed his concern about water insecurity in Pakistan as he posted a picture on Twitter while washing his car using a bucket.
