Says there are more differences than similarities in the two politicians.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th August, 2018) Pakistani vlogger Junaid Akram has hit back at American comedy show host Trevor Noah for comparing Imran Khan to Donald Trump.
In his video message, Junaid Akram said, the reality is far from truth. There are more differences than similarities in the two politicians.
“Even though Imran khan comes from a privileged background, his dedication and hard work made him one of the best figures of all times. He’s a self made man. Meanwhile, Donald Trump got a small loan of ‘millions of dollars’ from his father to start his business,” he said.
The banks refuse to give him loan due to his bankruptcy while millions of Pakistanis have been giving billions to Shaukat Khanum for over 20 years, he added. The hospital provides free treatment to cancer patients which cannot be seen anywhere in the world. A single MRI scan or other tests in America cost at least $700, the vlogger said.
Moreover, Junaid said, “Donald trump ran his campaign on hate and bigotry. He wanted to ban Muslims and build a wall while Imran Khan in his victory speech said he wants good ties with neighbours and India.
”
The Daily Show host Trevor Noah has landed in hot water after he compared newly-elected Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan to Donald Trump.
Trevor told viewers of his show that he believed the former cricketer and Trump had a lot in common.
The comedian said coverage of the Pakistani leader was like listening to reports about a "tanned Trump" and that Imran's residency was a "Pakistani Trump Tower".
"Look, I’m not saying Imran Khan is the brown Trump. Imran Khan is one of many leaders around the world following the successful format of the hit show called ‘The Trump Presidency’, including apparently using the same writers.”
He ended by urging those who wanted to move to Pakistan to avoid Trump to maybe go somewhere else.
“I don’t know if Prime Minister Khan will turn out like President Trump, but if you were moving to Pakistan to escape Trump, you might want to pick some place else,” Trevor said at the end of his segment.
