Malala Hopes Her Portrait Reminds People Of Girls’ Fight For Change

Taking to Instagram, Malala spoke up about her portrait that has been displayed at the London gallery.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd October, 2018) Nobel prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai's portrait has been unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
The portrait was shared by her father Ziauddin Yousafzai on his Twitter account.
Yousafzai shared that the portrait of Malala by Shirin Nishat has a poem inscribed on it which is written by Pushto poet Rahmat Shah Sayel.

"We are grateful to the artist for creating this wonderful piece of art depicting strength, resilience and courage," he wrote.
Taking to Instagram, Malala spoke up about her portrait that has been displayed at the London gallery.
Malal hoped that the portrait will remind visitors that girls everywhere are fighting for change in their communities and countries and that their stories must also be heard.
"This week my portrait, by artist @shirin__neshat, was added to the National Portrait Gallery in London. I hope it will remind visitors that girls everywhere are fighting for change in their communities and countries — their stories must also be heard," she wrote.
Malala is currently studying at Oxford University and is an advocate for girls' education.
She was shot by a Taliban gunman in 2012 while sitting in her school bus in Swat Valley.
