"Since opening the Al Ain Ladies’ Club a year ago, we continue moving forward with the opening of this new club, aiming to provide happiness and success for women in our society and to lead us towards excellence and creativity in line with our plans and programmes that emphasise the importance of sports as a healthy and ideal lifestyle.
"We are proud to inaugurate such a grand project, which coincides with the Year of Zayed, our leader and the founding father, who believed in the essential role of women and empowered them to reach the highest degrees of excellence in various disciplines and become role models for leadership and success on a global level. The Year of Zayed represents great importance to the UAE people for its true meanings and solid and humanitarian values, which certainly contributed to the opening of this new landmark."
On her behalf, Raysa Al Ketbi, CEO of the FBMA, said, "Opening the Abu Dhabi Ladies' Club is in line with Abu Dhabi's keenness to provide all the support for women to excel in the community. It truly represents the generous support and attention paid by our wise leadership to develop women’s position in all walks of life. The club is an important addition to this scene and serves women through a variety of sports, social, recreational and cultural activities.
"The Abu Dhabi Ladies' Club follows the Al Ain Ladies’ Club, which opened a year ago, and now welcomes women to practice their favourite hobbies. These projects underscore the achievements and the importance of women in our society. The club also represents one of the most important urban projects and sports monuments by the ambitious Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the FBMA, to instil sports as a lifestyle and an ideal tool to support social interaction within the community."
