Abu Dhabi Quartet Meeting Discusses Efforts To Restore Peace And Security In Afghanistan

Representatives of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, United States and Afghanistan, met, in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, to discuss efforts to restore security and stability as part of international endeavours to push the peace process in the south-central Asia country.

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 14th Nov, 2018) Representatives of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, United States and Afghanistan, met, in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, to discuss efforts to restore security and stability as part of international endeavours to push the peace process in the south-central Asia country.

The quartet meeting reached a set of recommendations that will contribute to realise inclusive national reconciliation in Afghanistan in a manner that serve aspirations of the Afghani people.

US Special Envoy for Peace in Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, expressed satisfaction at the outcome of the meeting.
