Al Ain Court settles 76 labour cases

In accordance with the implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department,

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 23rd Jul, 2018) In accordance with the implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, ADJD, to intensify efforts to achieve reconciliation and amicable resolution of the cases, determine all the points of agreement and disagreement, work on settling the dispute between disputing parties, and refer it immediately to the competent chamber, the case management office of Al Ain Court has successfully settled about 76 labour claims against one company.

It is worth mentioning that Al Ain Court had received applications from workers claiming end-of-service benefits, late wages, leave allowance and overtime to work on the preparation of the case and to attempt to settle and terminate the dispute amicably, within a period no longer than 15 days from the date of the case registration until the judgement and after the reconciliation before the one-day labour court, which issued its provisions in all cases.

The ADJD has confirmed the vital role and the effective contribution of the case management offices in reaching an amicable settlement of disputes, as well as expediting the adjudication of cases by facilitating the work of judges and shortening litigation, by proceeding with the cases processed before the start of the trial with fully prepared files.

This is contributing to the expeditious adjudication of cases, as well as ensuring the quality of the issued sentences.

The role of the office is to shorten the trial hearings from four to five hearings of correspondence, declarations and warnings, the presence of the parties and the exchange of case papers to just one or more before the case management office.

In addition, the case management office also contributes to reducing the administrative and legal burden of judicial advertising procedures. It communicates with the parties in dispute through different means of communication and schedules dates both by telephone and by e-mail, urging them to appear before the office to make representations in the submitted proceedings and to submit defence notes and responses, in order to fully complete the file and submit it to the competent chamber.
